Bio


Celina Lage (Belo Horizonte, 1972) is Italian & Lebanese born in Brazil. She is Professor of Curation and Contemporary Art in the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG), Brazil. She collaborated from 2009 to 2012 in the Graduate Program in Applied Arts at the Hellenic Open University, Greece. Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, Master of Theory of Literature and Bachelor of Philology, major in Greek and Latin. Post-doctorate in the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and Athens School of Fine Arts (Greece). Former Fellow of the Alexander Onassis Foundation, the State Scholarships Foundation (Greece) and CNPq (Brazil).

As the founder of Vision Art in Greece from 2008 to 2012, she spearheaded a pioneering venture in stereoscopic (3D) technologies and artistic products, backed by funding from the European Community and the Greek Government. Her leadership focused on blending cutting-edge 3D technology with artistic expression to create immersive experiences, establishing Vision Art as a beacon of innovation at the intersection of art, technology, and business. Currently, she develops and supervises postgraduate-level theoretical and practical research on new technologies applied to the arts with her own team, continuing her commitment to pushing the boundaries of how art and technology intersect.

Celina Lage is transdiscipinary new media and NFT Artist. Her artistic research is characterized by concerns with contemporaneity, intertemporality and rereadings of the past. Her artworks reflect in a peculiar way her passion for words and images, letters, poetic and metalinguistic mechanisms. She took part in exhibitions and festivals in New Zealand, Spain, Greece, Argentina, England, Germany, Denmark & Brazil.
